Today, they are at the forefront of music making with the huge resurgence of hardware synths - along with an endless supply of software emulations and new designs. Understanding how to control them at a deep level has never been more critical for the modern producer.
Synths are typically structured as a collection of modules: an oscillator section, filter section, and an amplifier section with envelope generators.
