We're excited to bring you some new lessons on Max for Live. If you're unfamiliar, Max (a.k.a. Max/MSP/Jitter) was named after composer and computer music pioneer Max Mathews. It is a visual programming language that, in short, enables third party developers to create custom instruments and plugins. Ableton acquired Cycling '74 (the company formed to maintain and update the Max language) in 2017 and has fully integrated it into Ableton Live Suite. Over Max's 30+ year history, many excellent instruments, effects, and tools have been developed and used by notable and innovative artists (too many to name). In this series, you'll get to look at some popular Max plugins and learn more about how to explore the massive Max ecosystem - there's a Max tool for nearly anything you wish to accomplish, so dive in and start pushing the limits of Ableton with Max!
